Saying yes

I have a rather ambitious statement on my Etsy shop profile
It says "Custom orders are most welcome. I can make anything, needle felted out of pure wool"
I decided a while ago to stop being scared of saying "maybe I can not do that" to saying "yes I can". Once I opened my heart to let new things in, lots of custom orders came my way. My creative spark loves the challenge of a new piece, Here are a few of them.

Love and light Marie

  1. I love the courage that you have to take the creative challenge of saying yes! And such beautiful work to show for it. Very nice, Marie.I feel that I am learning this lesson in my photography, too. I find your art so inspiring.

  14. Beautiful work as usual! I love doing custom orders too, but I always have that "thing" in the back of my mind that maybe they won't like it. This was never an issue until I had a customer who didn't like what I made for her and the whole experience was very negative. Do you ever worry about that?

  19. That's a bold thing to say and I'm glad you did, as I feel the same way! I have found that I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of a custom order, and I have to remove myself from what I would have done. I feel a great satisfaction when I can create something custom made. I will add some to my blog!

  23. that has happened with me to, and when I have been scared out of my wits, and prayed I always felt the words "you can do it Saskia, and they will like it" currently, I am working on a new custom, and I even tried to talk her out of it, ha ha! but I guess it's mine to take on- and I am grateful for it
