Beautiful Handwork

This little fairy comes out only in Autumn, to shake the trees gently so that their leaves may drift to the ground, to whisper to the squirrels to gather their nuts, and to bring vivid reds, golds, oranges and greens to our landscape.

She is entirely handmade, in the Steiner style of Sally Mavor's 'Felt Wee Folk', and created using wool felt and roving. Her skirt is made of flower petals, and her tunic displays fine hand embroidery. Her fiery orange hair is topped by a little acorn cap, and she measures 12cm from the top of her head to her gold silk slippers.
This delightful little fairy lives close to the water's edge, and is sitting here idly on a warm summer's day with her toes in the water.
