Busy in the garden
It was a warm day
The golden rays of Sister Sun shone down on Mother Earth
The Softearth lady put on her hat
She collected her spade from the garden shed
And went out into the cabbage patch
She loved being outside in the fresh air
And growing vegetables for her family to eat
The rhythm of the seasons were a joy to her
She always thanked Mother Earth,Sister Sun and Father Moon
For their help in providing such a bountiful harvest
Love and light Marie

ReplyDeleteI love that she has a whole landscape behind her, she reminds me of myself working on the garden in the spring- I'm even a redhead.

Thanks for the comment on my blog today. You know, I've actually admired your work for quite some time on Etsy. I've recently tackled needlefelting myself, though all I've accomplished are dryer balls! (:
ReplyDeleteShe fits perfectly into how beautiful it is outside and my excitement for spring gardening.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have found your blog. I didn't know you were in blogga logga land, too!!! Your creations are stunning!
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely! I really like the things you make, they are beautiful.

I have to let you know how much your creations speak to my heart. I thought the Thumbelinas the most beautiful subjects ever felted, but then I saw the gardeners. They are earthy and real and full of gorgeous colors.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I missed the giveaway, darn, volcanic ash clouds interrupting your travel will do that to you, but I am happy to see such beauty in art.
Thank you so much for dropping in and writing back on my blog, it is always nice to hear from you, and appreciated!
Bonne continuation!
