The call of the owl


A few evenings ago
Just as the light was fading
I heard the sound of our little New Zealand native owl
The Ruru (morepork)
Its call was weaving its way to me through the still night
Bringing me knowledge and wisdom

    It is true that Owl is a New Zealand national bird. Owl always watching in the night time. It is so nice owl in the tree.
