Preserving apples and peaches

I have started to preserve apples and peaches
Someone approximately 30 years was maybe having a picnic on the banks of this local river, which is near my home. They threw away the peach stone,and it started to grow. I have been busy  preserving peaches from this tree.
Being wild they are delicious, maybe it is an old strain, it is untouched by sprays, and hard to spot from the road. I left enough for other people who might enjoy them as well.

The last two mornings we have had a slight frost

Soon it will be time to clean up the garden

Soon it will be time to harvest the pumpkins

The beans are already drying in the shed

The leeks have been planted

Protecting the seeds

In late Autumn all the seeds have fallen deep within Mother Earth
They are looked after by the Gnomes who guard and protect them
When the first hint of warm spring sun touches the brown earth,

 the Gnomes push the seeds up into the spring sunlight.
Spring Spring, hey ho for Spring.

These Gnomes are just great for the late Winter/early spring nature table

Making my Autumn Maiden

Basic 9 inch shape wrapped with wool

Wrapped in orange wool, with added apron leaves

 Brown hair

And here she is all finished
With a wreath of Autumn leaves in her hair and two pumpkins by her side
