I love trees
I lie under a tree and feel it breathe
I look up and feel its wonder wash over me
The beautiful green leaves
The sunlight sparkling through
The protection it gives me
It shelters me
I thank it for being a part of Mother Earth

I thank it for being in my life.

Giveaway winner and Bread making

One of our many wood piles

Congratulations to Cassie who won the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs picture.

I have stopped buying bread and make my own
I sometimes make wholemeal, sometimes plain.
Cooking on a wood fire has a rhythm to it
One needs to collect fallen pine cones ( great fire starters)
Cut kindling and chop wood
Luckily my husband loves the rhythm of wood chopping
I light my wood fire everyday, Winter and Summer
It is connected to the hot water element, so no mains are needed

This is my bread recipe
Stir 2tspns dry yeast in 2 cups of water
Stand for 15 minutes
In a bowl add 3 cups of flour
Add a pinch of salt
Add yeast
Knead together
Let stand for 2 hours in warm place
Punch down, knead again
Let stand for 1 hour
Place in greased tin and cook at 180 C for 45 minutes.

My favorite haunt is old worldly bookshops and market fairs
I find lovely old fashioned children' s books and get inspired
By the beautiful illustrations.

King Winter is warm and snug in his long blue coat
Snow lies all around
It covers the trees and ground
If you look , you can find
Enchanted snow acorns
Their acorn caps covered with sparkling starlight
To light your way through the darker winter days.

We come into this world with a Mother and a Father
We become a family
Sometimes on our journey we drift apart from our partner
Sometimes we stay as a family together
But no matter what the circumstances are at the present
We, as Mothers, remember so dearly the birth of our children
The love that we felt when we held them in our arms
This is a circle, uniting picture of love

Down the end of my road are hills, valleys , and sheep, lots of sheep

With all these sheep there is lots of wool, wool that I can turn into Enchanted Rainbow Fairies
