Going shopping

 

 I came upon this doll lying under a pile of junk in a thrift store

She had been tossed around a bit and was a bruised and battered
So I decided to give bring her back to life
I gave her a silk face, a woolen cloak
White hair and placed a wicker basket in her hand
Now she can do what ALL us ladies like doing
GO SHOPPING...

The Grandmother

Six months ago I saw this cane rocking chair in a shop and purchased it

I often wondered what I was going to make with it

Well last week I decided it was going to be a Grandmother wearing a shawl and knitting

It is a large project, measuring 15 inches high, and took a lot of pure New Zealand wool

I do hope you like it, I think it is rather cool

Becoming a Grandmother

I have just become a Grandmother for the first time
My eldest son and his wife had a little baby boy
How wonderful is new life
How special to hold him in my arms
His little eyes looked up at me
I kissed his soft downy head
How sweet he looked
He smelt like sugar
My darling Grandson
