    I don't know what catkin means... But what comes to my mind is Dormance seed Fairies. They are beautiful!

    You could call them by a particular time of the day; dusk children.
    It's a lovely mixed grey, did you use gottland?
    I just finished some yarn with gottland curls, very wild looking.

    They remind me of Poppy seed pods, but I'm voting for Elmtree's 'Dusk Children'. It fits nicely and has a peaceful dream like quality. Take care.
