Leaving the nest

While making this Mother and her babies

I was somehow reminded of the words

About children from Kahlil Gibran

"You are the bows from which your

Children as living arrows are sent forth"

Here I feel Mother is telling her children that it will be soon time to fly

To leave and venture out into the world

One does the very best one can for ones children

Hoping that they go swift and far in life, ( Just like arrows)

The Bee Child

What a delight

We kept bees for 15 years

I was inspired to make this mixed media creation

A Waldorf knitted doll, with a straw hat, there is a bee on her hat

I think she is a sweetie

She is standing on a little wooden stump

A Straw beehive, with wool bees on it

And the base is wire and grass (fake) with wool bees

It measures approx 11inches by five inches

We munched on them during our ride home

I introduced  him my Elf boy

They sat together by the fire sipping cocoa

Gnome wands

I was trying to think of what young boys might like to wave around at a fair

And I came up with this idea

Felt gnomes with rainbow yarn and felt balls to flick

Boys can swizz those balls around real fast

And they will not come undone ha, ha

The Little Owl

A Little owl flew into my home yesterday
