Wood to keep my family warm

My  small homestead is covered with trees that we planted 25 years ago
From time to time we cut them down and trim branches for wood  to keep us warm
Here is a picture of one of my sons  chopping.

love and light  Marie

  4. Hi Eva, I cook on a wood stove, and have done for years, but recently acquired an electric oven, thou I still tend to light my wood stove as it is connected to the hot water. Spring can be still a bit coolish here, with light frosts sometimes happening. cheers Marie

  5. That's interesting. When you say electric oven, is it just an oven or also a stove? Many Amish around here have wood stoves.
