Someone approximately 30 years was maybe having a picnic on the banks of this local river, which is near my home. They threw away the peach stone, and it started to grow. I have been busy preserving peaches from this tree.
Being wild they are delicious, maybe it is an old strain, it is untouched by sprays, and hard to spot from the road. I left enough for other people who might enjoy them as well.

Wow! I wish we had wild peach trees around here! We have to really baby them and if all goes well, they can grow in our yards here. Happy canning!
