The little Rose princess

I am very happy with having dyed the wool myself
The softer colors lead one into a new space

Gathering in

I do believe that in some parts of the world
Autumn has arrived..
Here is a little verse and wool art for you for Autumn..

Gathering In

It is early Autumn
It is a time of gathering in
Gathering in all the memories from the year that has been
Letting those golden Autumn leaves fall on to you
So you can hold them close to your heart
So you can take all the positive things that have happened to you
and the ones that where not so good
You can take those memories and like the storing of the Autumn harvest
You bring them into your soul
Then comes Winter time
You can think about things that helped you
Things that you need to do or to change
So that come Spring you will know what new seeds
to plant in your garden.

Star paper making

My nieces had never made paper stars
So following Sarah's video from Bella Luna Toys.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua__xf55z1Q

We made these.

If you live in NZ you can buy 100 kite paper sheets at
http://www.gopher.co.nz/hastings/art-supplies/humanity-books-and-fine-art-supplies

If you live overseas, you can buy the kite paper on Etsy.

The children thought they were just wonderful, to make as a birthday gift for their friends, they took them all home.

Softly softly

Softly, softly creeps Spring

Softly, softly creeps Spring
Her soft warm colors are a delight to the eye
The beautiful pale green buds unfolding
The slender grasses reaching for the sun
The soft pink and white blossom
Their petals falling on you as you walk through the park
You are bathed in pale pink
Your hair is adorned with pink and white blossom
You tread softly on Mother Earth
She is waking up from the long Winters sleep
You are waking up
You are ready to greet the Spring
